Hillsborough County is home to a substantial and diverse veteran population. Many local veterans continue to face barriers to transportation, social connection, wellness opportunities, and access to trusted VA and community resources.
These challenges can be especially difficult for older veterans, veterans with disabilities, veterans living alone, and those residing in the rapidly growing communities of East and South Hillsborough County.
Vann Rainey Veterans Alliance is working to close these gaps through accessible community engagement, reliable transportation assistance, wellness activities, social-connection programs, life-skills development, and navigation to essential VA and community resources.

Vann Rainey Veterans Alliance understands these challenges through both professional service and lived military experience. Founder and CEO James Vann is a U.S. Army Gulf War veteran who served from 1989 to 1994. His commitment to serving fellow veterans guides the organization's mission and ensures its programs are delivered with respect, understanding, and a genuine connection to the veteran community. No veteran should have to navigate life's challenges alone.
