Governance & Security

Governance, Responsible AI & Cybersecurity

Vann Rainey Veterans Alliance, Inc. is committed to protecting the veterans, families, donors, volunteers, employees, and community partners who trust our organization. Our governance framework establishes clear accountability for the responsible use of artificial intelligence and the protection of organizational and personal information.

Technology should strengthen our human impact—not replace human judgment, dignity, compassion, privacy, or accountability.

Artificial Intelligence Governance

Our Artificial Intelligence Governance Policy establishes standards for the safe, ethical, transparent, and human-centered use of artificial intelligence. AI may support research, grant development, communications, resource navigation, administrative work, and program improvement, but it cannot replace meaningful human review or independently make decisions affecting veterans.

  • Protection of veteran and organizational information
  • Fairness, accessibility, and bias prevention
  • Verification of AI-generated information
  • Transparency when AI materially affects an interaction
  • Formal review of AI tools and vendors
  • Prohibition against AI-only eligibility or service decisions
  • Immediate reporting of AI-related errors, privacy concerns, or harmful outputs
